Niedersächsische Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Göttingen 04. 04. 2008 - 30. 05. 2008![]() The Niedersächsische Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Göttingen has a special collection for Keltologie / Celtic Studies, and has therefore shown a huge interest in this exhibition. Since its foundation in 1734, the SUB has been collecting very intensively literature from the Anglo-American culture space because on the one hand of the close relationship between the Kurfürstentum Hannover and the United Kingdom (Personalunion). On the other hand, the SUB in Göttingen was the most modern research library in Europe in the 18th century. The SUB has organised a German-wide access to the collection Wales related Fictions of the Romantic Era (e.g. Edward Trevor Anwyl, Anna Maria Bennett, and Anne Hatton) with 86 Ebooks, etc. because recent investigations of the concept of 'Britishness', as well as political developments such as devolution and the establishment of the Welsh Assembly, have raised the question of the relationship of the national culture of Wales to the larger British 'union'. It is now acknowledged that the novel played a vital part in constructing images of national identity. There is a huge interest of the SUB to accompany this exhibition by readings, lectures and music. Exhibitions 2007Zu Gast in Mühlhausen 11. 04. 2007 - 29. 10. 2007![]() Zu Gast in Mühlhausen.
